Rising Stars Earn Grand Final Call Up

Congratulations to the º«Å®Ðã FCJ College students from the AFL Umpire Academy who have been selected to officiate at the inaugural VFL Women’s Grand Final this weekend, Sunday 18 September 2016. Kaitlin Barr (Year 12) and Mara Lunn (Year 11) will be boundary umpires and Kate Delaney (Year 12) will be a goal umpire.

Along with other students from the program, this talented group will join some of the VFL’s best field umpires as they run the boundary and wave the flags in their first state league Grand Final.

The AFL Umpire Academy is held at the College, inviting students of all ages to learn the basic principles of umpiring across the three disciplines of field, boundary and goal.
