College Council Chair Announces New Board Members

The FCJEA board, in consultation with the College Council, has appointed Ken McAlpine and Stephen Capello to the Council, with immediate effect.

These appointments ensure the Council has the breadth of expertise, experience, and perspectives required for the future. Ken and Stephen bring professional capability, leadership, and a commitment to the FCJ values that underpin our mission.

Welcoming Ken McAlpine

Ken is a current º«Å®Ðã parent and an experienced strategic advisor with a background spanning commercial law, government relations, renewable energy, and policy development. As Managing Director of Spring Street Advisory, he has worked closely with government, industry, and community organisations, and previously served as a director of the Clean Energy Council and the New Zealand Wind Energy Association.

Ken brings strengths in strategy, critical analysis, policy development, and issues management. His experience will support the Council’s work in long-term planning, external engagement, and navigating the changing educational landscape.

Welcoming Stephen Capello

Stephen is a º«Å®Ðã parent and a senior executive with more than 30 years’ experience leading purpose-driven organisations. As former CEO of Hume Bank and BankVic, he brings expertise in governance, risk oversight, financial stewardship, and strategic execution. Stephen has served on boards, including Charles Sturt University’s Finance & Strategy Committee and Victorian Police Legacy.

He is also a strong advocate for women’s financial empowerment, community inclusion, and educational accessibility—values that align closely with our mission to educate confident, compassionate young women.

Strengthening Our Governance for the Future

The addition of both Ken and Stephen brings valuable new perspectives to the Council, complementing the Council’s existing members. Their contributions will help deliver the 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, strengthen our governance foundations, and position º«Å®Ðã for future generations.

We warmly welcome Ken and Stephen and thank you again for your ongoing support.

Warm regards,

Robert MacIsaac
